"The League" may seem like it's just about a bunch of dudes (and one unladylike lady) sitting around talkin' fantasy football.

And it is.

Produced by Jeff Schaffer ("Curb Your Enthusiasm") and Jackie Marcus Schaffer ("Disturbia"), FX's new "semi-scripted" show stars an ensemble cast of rising stars. Mark Duplass (who wrote and directed the 2005 Sundance breakout hit "The Puffy Chair") stars along with Nick Kroll ("I Love You Man"), Paul Sheer ("Human Giant"), Steve Rannazzisi ("Paul Blart: Mall Cop") and Jon Lajoie.

The ragtag group is lead by Pete (Duplass), who has won the league three out of the last four years. Pete's best friend, Kevin, is the league commissioner, and is married to the only female member of the fantasy league, Jenny. Kevin's brother, Taco, is also in the league, although he couldn't care less about it. Rounding out the group are the plastic surgeon, Andre, and his paranoid friend, Ruxin. (For more information on the group, see Meet "The League.")
