Lodo Oktoberfest 2009
Lodo Oktoberfest 2009
September 18, 2009
Any excuse to drink beer and dance our silly butts off to polka music is gladly recieved in Denver, especilly any that are shaped after one of the most renowned drinking festivals in the world.
As such, we delightlfully welcome the annual Lodo Oktoberfest that takes place right in the heart of downtown between 20th and 22nd street on Larimer. During the festival, all of the bordering bars stay open, so the streets just flow with wet palettes. Complete with collector glass steins (that come filled), Jaeger shot booths, bier, rows of booths of amazing food, and more bier, it's a festival to be reckoned with. Really, who doesn't love splashing beer around in a giant stein while dancing to liederhosen-clad bands in a chicken hat?
Metromix even brought along a beer pong challenge, where contestants could win a pair of rapids tickets, among other free prizes if they bounced a ball in a cup.
