Ft. Collins gets down at NewWestFest kickoff

As Fort Collins prepared for a weekend full of dancing, drinking and a downright good time at the Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest, local band 3 Twins gave the college town a taste of things to come. The kickoff concert, which took place right in the middle of Old Town Square and celebrates the town's history, kept the hopped-up crowd on their toes with the band's rock-infused bluegrass sound.

It was the first night of the three-day concert series and festival that will feature more than 50 colorado bands, including headliners Mellissa Etheridge and salsa-hip-hop band Ozomatli. On top of the music, there will be plenty of drinks, food and activities for all ages.

Etheridge closed out Saturday’s festivities, and Ozomatli rallied out the weekend on Sunday night.
