Nuggets May-nia at Pepsi Center tailgating

Go Nuggets, baby!

GO NUGGETS, BABY!!!! Those were the sentiments of the crowds that gathered at the Pepsi Center for the first home game of the series against the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday. The parking lots filled early as diehard fans prepped for the most serious game the Nuggets have played on home soil since the 80's, and there was plenty of tailgating to kick off the evening.

The most formidable crowd, the Melo’s Yellows, a group of over 200 participants who have purchased a section of seats in the upper deck of the Pepsi center to provide a fire-fueled fanbase for the Nuggets, were starting things off right with beers and pizza before the game. The Pepsi Center itself provided some fun and entertainment for those who showed up early with face and body painting, dunk tanks, and other games.
