While some festivals might have been content to have drawn 90,000 fans and huge headliners such as Dave Matthews, Tom Petty and John Mayer, the Mile High Music Festival is not any festival. In true Colorado fashion, the event is ramping it up this year with two stages and more big name bands.
Heavy hitters like Tool, Widespread Panic, Ani DiFranco and Gov't Mule—not to mention local-gone-global acts, 3OH3! and The Fray—will light up the stage as night descends on Commerce City. But, there will be plenty of other bands—some local, some national and some international—looking to introduce themselves to music fans who will no doubt turn out in droves to Dick's Sporting Goods Park on July 18 and 19, to witness what is quickly becoming Colorado's premier summer music fest. Here's a run down of 11 acts who are not planning on being upstaged.
