First Look: Primebar

The Prime time for cocktails has arrived

On the 16th Street Mall, there will soon be a new hot spot to sip drinks, enjoy life, and eat great food. Primebar will be opening soon, just before Memorial Day weekend. If you’re wondering why “bar” is bolded in the name, it’s simply because they are just that, a bar. It’s a place where people can have fun, and enjoy beer from right here in Colorado! They’ve even got their cabaret license so you can enjoy live music, a spacious loft area just past the lounge which is available for private parties, and, of course, extra seating. The patio alone can seat about 120 people, and if you’re a smoker, Primebar will gladly open a certain end of their outdoor seating to you.

Your jaw will drop in amazement at the size of this place, and it’s strikingly fun décor. The kitchen is completely open, in case you want to see what the chefs are up to. We got to take a first look at one of Denver’s newest, and by far most unique restaurants.

We sat down with Executive Chef Max MacKissock, as he gave us all the spicy details.
