Ernest Borgnine
Veteran actor Ernest Borgnine, the Oscar-winning Everyman, died Sunday at age 95.
Borgnine told USA TODAY in 2011 that he credits his mother for suggesting that he try acting when he was looking for work after 10 years in the Navy. "She said, 'Have you ever thought of becoming an actor? You always like to make a damn fool of yourself in front of people. Why don't you give it a try?' "
