Last night David Letterman asked Nicolas Cage about the buzz "sweeping the Internet" that the actor is a vampire.
Letterman showed Cage a photo that of a Civil War-era Tennessee man bearing a strong resemblance to Cage. The rumor started months ago when the photo popped up on eBay with the seller claiming it was proof that Cage was a creature of the night who reinvents himself every 75 years.
But Cage hasn't responded publicly - until last night.
"It's a somewhat slowed-down version of me," said Cage, looking at the photo and chuckling. Finally, he said, "Look, I don't drink blood and last time I looked in the mirror there was a reflection."
