Looks like we're a step closer to an announcement about Britney Spears' new big Las Vegas gig.
Caesars Entertainment spokeswoman Emily Wofford confirms to USA TODAY's Kitty Yancey that the company is trying to lure Brit Brit to Las Vegas for a recurring show at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.
Spears, 31, who isn't returning as an X Factor judge and recently split from Jason Trawick, fueled the residency rumors last week on Twitter. Her manager, Larry Rudolph, told Extratwo days ago a deal should be cut "very soon."
Caesars Entertainment currently is promoting residencies by singers Cee Lo Green at Planet Hollywood and Shania Twain at Caesars Palace.
