Country dancing and champagne toasts bring in the new year
Sporting a stetson, cowboy boots, and some wranglers might have given you a few interesting looks if that was your number one choice for New Year's apparel, and your destination was the clubs downtown. Thankfully, there was a party in town on New Year's where if that was your getup, you would feel right at home. And naturally that place was Denver's favorite spot for everything country, The Grizzly Rose.
The Rose threw a massive New Year's celebration this year that included all the honky-tonk dancin' you could handle, live music, complimentary champagne, mechanical bull riding, and a midnight breakfast buffet to finish off the night! The bar was filled to the brim with cowboys, cowgirls, and everyone else that loves that down home western style. And if you have been to the Grizzly Rose in the past, you know these folks take their dancing seriously, as the dance floor was packed, moving to everyone's favorite country hits, the live country band, some line dancing, and then a little hip hop and top 40 for those that didn't have their two-step down.
As the count down to the new year came to conclusion balloons filled the dancefloor under the disco ball cowboy hat centered in the middle of the dance floor. Some took the challenge to see how long they could last on the mechanical bull, which proved more and more difficult as the drinks flowed. And then to fuel up for the new year, a complimentary breakfast buffet was provided. It was a great party, country western style!
