Ladies get their drink on and their nails done on the 27th floor of the Hyatt
In a city where folks are allowed to bring their dogs to work, and where it's usually not a problem wearing jeans and a fleece jacket into some dance clubs, sometimes a little New York style diva time is in order. Thankfully with all the hype that has come along with the release of "Sex and the City 2," there's been a reason to break out the heels and the latest fashion for a night out on the town.
There might be no better place to break out the fashion and consume top notch martinis than at the Peaks Lounge on the 27th floor of The Hyatt Regency Hotel downtown. Ladies gathered high above the skyline on Saturday night for the Sex and the Mile High City 2 party, where they could enjoy a swanky, high fashion party, and if they squinted while looking out the window, they might be able to convince themselves they were in the big apple.
Tootsies Salon was on hand, literally, doing complimentary manicures for the women in attendance, and there was a photo booth where anyone could strike a pose and feel like a celebrity for a second in front of the "Sex and the City 2" movie poster. Morning show producer Mikey Goldenberg of Alice 105.9 was at the shindig giving away a variety of door prizes that included some pretty expensive shades among a variety of other things. The bar also had plenty of exclusive-to-the-event martinis to really go high end for the evening. It was a night of cocktails and fashion overlooking the lights of Denver.
