Between HBO’s True Blood and the teen fantasy/romance novels turned film Twilight, vampires are trés chic right now. The evolution of, and our obsession with vampires, can be traced through high-grossing films such as The Lost Boys (punk vampires), From Dusk Till Dawn (stripper vampires), Blade (party vampires) and the novel/film that started it all, Bram Stoker’s Dracula (opulent and lascivious vampires). Our fixation with night-dwellers extends to rock stars, who, similar to vampires, are rarely seen during the light of day. At Wicked Garden, Jet Entertainment Group’s new gothic-decadence rock club, a venue has been created where rockers, blood-suckers and other creatures of the night can co-mingle in gritty excess.
