Vampires and vino: what more could you ask for?
Theater fans were able to try something dark red and tasty before heading to the show "Dracula" on Friday night ... a selection of wine (What else did you think we were talking about?)! The Rialto Cafe, right off of 16th Street partnered with the Denver Center for the Performing Arts to host the Dracula Wine Tasting Event! Participants were able to purchase tickets to the premiere of "Dracula" at the Stage Theatre and partake in tasty hor d'oeuvres and a fantastic selection of red and white wines before hand just down the street.
Dracula and theater fans alike spent time pairing food and wine, as well as discussing which film portrays the tale of Transylvania most accurately. The event actually took place right next door in the art gallery of the Courtyard Marriott so there was plenty of space for all to commiserate. Unfortunately there wasn't a whole lot of fangs and thick widows peaks present, but maybe it's just because Halloween is still quite a ways off. It was a scary fun night of wine and theater!
