Beer lover's paradise returns to Denver Zoo
The Denver Zoo hosted Brew at the Zoo 2011 Friday night, adding a few new touches to the event without losing sight of what makes it a Colorado classic: the beer.
Hundreds of revelers and more than 40 breweries and restaurants joined the resident wildlife for the end-of-summer party (which also happens to be one the zoo's biggest annual fundraisers). Two dancefloors definitely played second banana to the culinary delights, but a Silent Disco in which dancers all rocked out wearing headphones attracted a consistent crowd.
Metromix was also on hand, serving up swag and hosting some especially heated rounds of cornhole. Overall, it was a good night for everyone involved. Except for the elephants, who seemed to be trying to sleep. — Matt Farley, Metromix
