Breckenridge Brewery
2220 Blake St. - DenverThe sports fan’s pit stop before and after Rockies games. Located directly across from Coors Field, the Breck not only has some of the best beers located within their walls, their buffalo wings are some of the best we have ever had. Just be prepare to drink your beer while standing before a ballgame. It doesn't matter if the Kansas City Royals are in town--this bar gets packed.
Lodo's Bar and Grill
1946 Market St. - DenverLodo's definitely has the best rooftop in town with the best view—Coors Field. On Opening Day, the bar gets crazy packed, but after that, the crowd is just right. Try and make your way to the rooftop to score your table, or you are going to be scrunched in a corner standing the whole time....but hey, some people like it that way.
Sports Column
1930 Blake St. - DenverThis is a sports bar for sports fanatics, which is a good thing since it is called "Sports Column." Although their beer is generally served in their reusable plastic cups that kind of gross you out, it is still a solid stop to have a chat about anything sports from the drunk guy next to you. If you come hungry, try their ball park pretzels, they are amazingly perfect from the cheese to the salt.
Bash
1902 Blake St. - DenverThis punk rock warehouse turned energetic, hip-hop dance club is one of the hottest nightclubs in Denver. On Opening Day, they open their doors for music, beer and good times. For Opening Day 2008, they even had a dunking booth located inside for a chance to dunk girls in white t-shirts. Yes, their t-shirts were white. Come swing by before Opening Day for cheap beer and chear....well, you get the point.
Jackson's All American Sports Grill
1520 20th St. - DenverA sports bar, moments from Coors Field's front door, that knows no bounds. Their patio isn't rooftop, but their view is astounding. If you want a close-up of Coors Field, you have it here. Inside, you will find a huge central bar with the tenders bustling about to get your drink order just right.
Falling Rock Tap House
1919 Blake St. - DenverThe Falling Rock Tap House lay claim to “Colorado’s Best Selection of Beers.” And we can definitely concur. With a patio located out front for the days you want to soak up the sun before a game, you will be in a relaxed sports haven. It gets packed, but not ridiculously packed. Your stomach will get more beer rather than the floor after people elbow you making their way through the bar. Good times. Good bar. Double thumbs up from us.
Giggling Grizzly
1320 20th St. - DenverThe name sounds cute, but this isn't a cutesy-wutesy bar, sports guy. If you want a good stop before heading to Coors Field, this one is a little more unknown to most. This is a good thing, since you're guaranteed a seat and a hassle-free beer.
The Tavern Downtown
1949 Market St. - DenverA three-deck rooftop patio across from Coors Field is just what the sport doctors ordered. With multiple drink selections to choose from and delicious pre-game bites, the Tavern Downtown has your gameday covered.
The Ginn Mill
2041 Larimer St. - DenverIf you want to have a drink or two before heading to the ballpark, The Ginn Mill is a great option if you don't want to arm wrestle the guy next to you to get the bartender's attention. Great drinks and a good crowd will make your gameday experience worthwhile.
Blue Moon Brewery at The Sandlot
2161 Blake St. - DenverTake me out to the ball game...and get me drunk before it starts. This bar couldn't get any closer to Coors Field if it tried, considering it is located in right field. That's right, The Sandlot is in Coors Field and is the place
Fado Irish Pub
1735 19th St. Suite #150 - DenverAlthough Fado's is a great pre-game pitstop, it gets crazy packed after the games. It is right outside the doors of Coors Field, so once people have come down after they shut that taps off after the seventh inning, people need a refreshment. With oodles of TVs to watch game highlights, we can say this is the stop after the games.
Whiskey Bar
2203 Larimer St. - DenverOver 115 whiskeys. We so knew that would get your attention. There is nothing like heading to a Rockies game after a couple shots of whiskey. Let the heckling begin.
Scruffy Murphy's
2030 Larimer St. - DenverLess than a potato toss from Coors field, this Irish pub is one of the more authentic you are likely to find in Denver. You will notice this bar everytime you're driving around the streets of LoDo looking for a sweet parking spot before the game. Come on in and have a Guinness or two before rooting for our purple boys.
Wynkoop Brewing Co.
1634 18th St. - DenverBeer beer beer beer beer beer beer. This brewery often turns your dinner outing into a crazy long night. And that is just what you want if you're making it a night at the ballpark. Swing here before a game to order something from their extensive menu and have a pint or two...or three.
