Denver bars near Starz

For the creative moviegoers, the Starz Denver Film Festival presents an almost infinite number of reasons to go out for a drink or two. Pehaps you've just witnessed a particularly harrowing movie that's shaken your faith in humanity, such as "Melancholia." Or maybe you're headed to a film that encourages viewers to loosen up a bit ("Jeff Who Lives at Home") and are looking to pre-game. Lucky for you, there are plenty of watering holes within just a couple of miles of the Starz Film Center. Here are a few of our favorites.

Brooklyn's at the Pepsi Center

pick Brooklyn's at the Pepsi Center

901 Auraria Pkwy. - Denver
303-607-0002

Being so close to the Pepsi Center you should expect Brooklyn's to be just what it is - a rowdy sports bar with lots of people yelling at the TVs and drinking pitchers of beer

Lavish Lounge

Lavish Lounge

1448 Market Street - Denver
303-880-0237

Lavish can refer to many things. Chief among them is the idea of bestowing something in great amounts, sometimes to an excessive degree. To this end, Lavish Restaurant & Lounge expends decadence upon patrons looking to dine, dance or simply decompress. Whether your regular life is spent in a cubicle or the boardroom, difficult economic times have forced all nightlife aficionados to curtail some of their indulgences. But at Lavish, customers can live the luxe life at only a moderate expense.

It's a little chilly for the rooftop, but the Pour House still has plenty to offer

Maloney's Tavern

pick Maloney's Tavern

1432 Market St. - Denver

Maloney’s could have strong drinks and delicious food, but all we can focus on in this Lodo establishment are the floors.
