Best damn patios out there
We know how important it is for you to multi-task. You want to get a nice summer tan, but dangit, you're also a party animal and you like to drink. That's why we drank long and hard during last summer to make sure we can tell you where the best patios are located. It's a difficult job, but someone has to do it.
The Foundry Billiards Club

The Foundry Billiards Club

1109 Walnut St., Boulder
303-447-1803

Boulder is known for having amazing views of the Flatirons and....hot girls. The Foundry is known for their amazing patio that comes equipped with tables, a bar, and lots of people. Anytime of the day in the summer, you can go up, soak up some rays and have a ball.

Lodo's Bar and Grill

Lodo's Bar and Grill

1946 Market St., Denver
303-293-8555

It is amazing how many people they can squeeze onto the rooftop patio at Lodo's Bar and Grill. During the summer, they're known to get rowdy up there, that is for sure. They even hold the best swimsuit competition up there! Definitely a blast to grab some cocktails and party the night away on.

The Tavern Downtown

The Tavern Downtown

1949 Market St., Denver
303-299-0100

A three-deck rooftop patio, thunder bowling, pool tables and plasmas! This place gets packed during summer days.... and nights. Across the street from Lodo's Bar and Grill, the two patios compete with each other. If you're on one, you look at the people on the patio across the street and think, "Our patio is cooler." This is what drinking and partying in Colorado is all about; the patios.

Charlie Brown's Bar & Grill

Charlie Brown's Bar & Grill

980 Grant St., Denver
303-860-1655

The days of the crooner are over. No one sings like Sinatra anymore, or knows how to make a fedora look cool. That's what makes Charlie Brown's so wonderful. That, and their patio. During the crappy colder months they cover the puppy up, but once our good friend Mr. Sun pops up, they uncover it for all to enjoy. After all, the patio needs to see some Vitamin D action too.

Caldonia's Highway Tavern and Roadside BBQ

Caldonia's Highway Tavern and Roadside BBQ

2252 S Parker Road, Denver
303-752-3829

The neighborhood smokehouse and bar with bikinis and beer to boot. Their patio is the lesser known in the world of patios. With an outdoor bar who can complain? Fine, maybe your fair-skinned friend (lobster back) hates it.

Club Vinyl

Club Vinyl

1082 Broadway , Denver
303-860-8469

Club Vinyl is a massive club consisting of four floors, including a rooftop patio that packs in the club crowd on the weekends. Since it's night, you don't need to worry about grabbing the ol' SPF 50 before partying on this ultra fabulous patio.

Lazy Dog Sports Bar & Grill

Lazy Dog Sports Bar & Grill

1346 Pearl St., Boulder
303-440-3355

People will drink on any patio they're handed. But when you have a super nice patio, with comfy chairs, heat lamps, TVs and a nice bar, you get a party. The Lazy Dog is the patio we just described.

The West End Tavern

The West End Tavern

926 Pearl St., Boulder
303-444-3535

Besides the big damn brick wall blocking a lot of the view, The West End still reigns as having one of the best patios in Boulder. On some nights, they screen movies on that big damn brick wall, too. So at least they turn a crappy thing into something positive.

Canopy Grill

Canopy Grill

2770 Arapahoe Rd. Ste. 116, Lafayette
303-666-1130

Come on Lafayette needs some love too. After all, it is Boulder's friends of the east. The patio wraps around this fine Caribbean restaurant and has been known to book a couple bands to play out there on some nights. Not to mention, their mojitos are some of the best you've ever had. Mojitos and a wrap-around patio? See it's not too shabby after all. Haven't we learned not to be so judgemental.

Blue Moon Brewing Company at The Sandlot

Blue Moon Brewing Company at The Sandlot

So it's located within the gates of Coors Field. Who can deny the power of Blue Moon and America's favorite pastime of baseball? Newly remodeled, this beer garden is one that will get your patio undies in a bunch that's for sure.

Falling Rock Tap House

Falling Rock Tap House

1919 Blake St., Denver
303-293 -8338

This patio has a lot going for it. Loads of beer running through the walls of the building, close to Coors Field and somehow always seems to be facing the sun just when you need it, this patio definitely makes our list of best drinking patios.
