Best bets on bottle service

Your wallet takes a hit, but if you want the VIP treatment, bottle service is the only way to go. With your own bottle of spirits, private seating, and sometimes an entire private area, there is no higher class comfort in the nightly arena than by shelling out for your own table. The top of the table service class, these places make the exponentially marked up booze seem like a bargain.

Not sure what to expect from bottle service? Read our bottle service guide.

The Church

The Church

1160 Lincoln St. - Denver
303-832-3528

Similar to ex-New York City club-central The Limelight, The Church is, fittingly, housed in a former Gothic cathedral. At first glance there's nothing un-holy about this building, but upon closer inspection one might notice the huge speakers adorning the exterior or the roof top bar tucked behind the steeple. Presumably this allows club kids to dance closer to God. The stain glass windows are pure subterfuge as behind them you'll find a serious sound and light system. In the absence of pews, congregants get spiritual to hip-hop, salsa and house music spun by national and international DJs. Descend into the basement with the rest of the pagans for goth night every Sunday.

1422 Larimer St. - Denver
303-668-4064

Edgy basement bar in LoDo with DJs spinning mash-up (think hip-hop, 80s and Top 40). You have to be really cool to find this place since there’s no signage whatsoever. The trick is to look for the courtyard with the fountain, enter by the entrance in the alley at Lawrence/Larimer and 14th/15th Streets (Aren't we so helpful?!). It’s a high energy place with fun and love vibes in the air, man. The pizza place next door is owned by the same peeps and can feed you munchies or help you fill your wallet with their ATM.

Monarck Lounge

Monarck Lounge

1416 Market St. - Denver
303-888-0655

Made uber popular by “Real World: Denver,” the cast was often spotted at this nightlife hotspot. Decked out with colorful cube seats, flashy curtains hanging from the ceiling and dazzling chandeliers means they have the ‘chill’ factor of going out. Monarck is praised by their martinis, mojitos and margaritas. The 3 glorious 'M’s'. If you’re not chic by nature, go to Monarck and they’ll add a splash of zest to your life. Don’t miss their “Retro Happy Hour” Monday-Friday from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. where they swing back to the 80s with videos and sounds. If you’re the ‘who's who’ of Denver this is where to go. Yeah baby, yeah.

Zen Ultra Lounge

Zen Ultra Lounge

Club Vinyl is a massive club consisting of four floors, including a rooftop patio that packs in the club crowd on the weekends. The main floor has a sprawling dance floor where local and international DJ’s thump out house music. There are also plenty of seating areas on each floor if you prefer to just lounge around and mingle with your friends. Or, if this sounds like you, to stare at other people while they're dancing trying to figure out your best pick-up line. We prefer, "Are you the Campbell's spokesperson? Because you look Mmmm good!" Alright, back to the description: The basement area is a more intimate setting, with flat panel TVs lining the walls. The partially enclosed Grecian-style rooftop patio is a great place to spend the night during the summer months.

5° features a great menu built mostly from local, free-range, natural, organic ingredients, with small-plate servings of some of the finest food in town. But, if you're like most patrons here, you'll be too buzzed – and/or too busy flirting – to notice. With as many as 50 martinis to choose from, bottle service, champagne singles, and a brief but well-chosen wine list, don't plan on driving to dinner here—you're going to enjoy making out in the backseat of that cab.
