When The Rocky Mountain News stopped publishing in 2009, it put a lot of journalists out of work in Denver. It was definitely a hard time all around for most—but not for two former IT employees who worked at the Rocky. Instead of sitting back feeling sorry for themselves, Tim Myers and John Fletcher, decided to fulfill their lifelong dreams—to brew beer and open their own brewing company. And by golly, that’s exactly what they’ve done.
After tireless migraines the City of Denver has given them to finally open their doors, they have succeeded. Strange Brewing Company is open and ready for beer business, Denver.
