Littleton Bar hosts 64-Team Beer Pong Tournament
For some, beer pong brings back memories of 100-count packs of red cups, rickety, warped wooden tables in dirty garages, and late nights with your crew. For others, it’s not a memory; it’s still their life. Very rarely do those worlds collide, much less come into contact outside a college town bar or house party.
But on Sat. April 18, that all changed at Dewey’s American Grill.
At the third installment of a now infamous beer pong tournaments, known as Dewey’s Debacle, college students and college grads alike came together for a night full of shot sinking, dirty talking beer pong. The tournament hosted 64 teams complete with uniforms, drink specials and food discounts until the kitchen closed. Prizes included a Wii system and gift certificates with Nuggets and Avalanche tickets along with bar tabs.
The now almost monthly event started out as way of giving local college kids a means of avoiding beer pong withdrawal during Thanksgiving break. With such a success, the tournament has blossomed into a regular event.
