When we look at the history of rock music we are struck by the pattern that unfolds. Like a blossoming flower (purposefully not as beautiful) it begins at the root, with a single seed, a club that energizes a movement to spread. In the U.K. there was The Cavern Club. In N.Y. there was C.B.G.B.’s. Unfortunately the latter has now left the dark streets of the Big Apple and finds itself in a sterile environment inside a Las Vegas casino. In Denver we have The Marquis Theater. Its atmosphere is perfect to house Indie sounds from around the country and the world, brought there by Soda Jerk Presents.
