There’s no Shepard’s Pie on the menu at Sheabeen’s Irish Pub in Aurora; nor do they serve Bangers and Mash. Occasionally, this restaurant and bar hosts Irish folk musicians, but they share the stage with country crooners and classic rock cover bands. Instead of the expected Celtic flavor, this dark-blue collared bar serves up a sincere, neighborhood bar atmosphere. And the classic Philly cheese steak, with fried peppers and onions, goes surprisingly well with a Guinness. To keep the mind from becoming idle and to prevent a good 'ol Irish bar fight, there are open pool tables on Thursday and 20 TVs including an 8ft. big screen for your sports viewing pleasure.
