I tend to be a creature of habit and one of my "habits" is going to Tavern Uptown for happy hour with my office crew. We try to go once every week or two. We can walk there, so it's really convenient plus we love their 2 for 1 HH specials. We were there last week and they had a special March Madness drink that was awesome (I'm not a big basketball fan, but I'll certainly partake of any cool drinks for the tourney!). The staff is always really friendly and the apps are yummy.

this place actually has character unlike its downtown cousin. the patio is one of my faovrite places to catch a smoke and a beer.

The patio at the Uptown could be the best in Denver. Located in a courtyard environment the patio has a plethora of tables, a fully landscaped garden and coy pond, and a full bar. The place is usually bustling, almost too much so on the weekends. Bring your wallet too; the drinks ain't cheap. The draft beers are poured in 14 ounce glasses and the bartenders are forced to use a jigger for all their pours. The food is overpriced for bar fare, but the environment somewhat compensates for the increasingly corporate policies and prices.
