My Favorite Late Morning Breakfast Stop

Ogden Street South is hidden away in a quiet residential area surrounded mostly by old Wash Park houses to the south and east and one huge high rise that hovers over the neighborhood to the north. Though it is mostly known for karaoke nights and trivia contests, it opens for breakfast at 10:30 am on weekdays and 8 am on the weekend. Often you will find local patrolmen stopping by for breakfast or lunch, but I make a habit of bringing my laptop and using their free wi-fi to check e-mails and the daily news while I enjoy the smoked pork breakfast burrito on Saturday or Sunday. Weekdays find me ording french toast. The wait help is very pleasant and service is prompt. I usually get in and out in 30-45 minutes, including the time I spend on my computer. Their extremely pleasant outdoor patio is now open for summer dining and the smokers refuge. Though Ogden Street South is mostly a great neighborhood night spot, I highly recommend it to start off the day.
