I went to this pathetic excuse for a bar a few weeks ago and was very disappointed with the service. The staff was rude and I understand that its a dive bar but still very unprofessional. I know that bars with certain % sales from cigarettes are allowed to have smoking but seeing the bartender sitting behind her bar smoking a cigarette in her downtime is pretty discusting. I don't know about you but I don't like the hint of cigarette smoke behind the taste of all my drinks.. This disgusting "feature" along with the poor service wont bring me back to this bar.

I went to Gabors last Wednesday and was absolutely flabbergasted by the service at this place....from the poor quality of the drinks to the bartender smoking behind the counter! Last time I checked that was illegal in Denver and for non-smokers like me, very undesirable. This place is a hole in the wall bar where I would not go back if it was the last bar open in Denver! The barmaids are straight out rude and take their sweet time taking your order and it is just plain not worth it. To top it all off, upon last call my friend and I went into the bathroom to relieve ourselves before we left. We were completely amazed to find the bartender follow us in cursing at us and telling us we had to leave. When I asked if I could please just pee I was put in a choke hold by the bouncer and carried outside. I could not breathe when this happened and please keep in mind I am a 5 foot 3, 130 pound white girl! Everyone....do yourselves a favor and NEVER I repeat NEVER give this place your sevice!!

From the swinging saloon doors to the vintage movie posters, Gabor’s tries to set itself aside from the ordinary. Truth is the jukebox might be the best in the city, even if the pool tables and pub food are on the average side. It’s the staff, the mood, the music and the hipster patrons that keep the ‘hidden secret’ vibe of this bar going. Groups of friends or quiet couples can be seen having a grand time and not managing to step over, or eavesdrop on each other’s conversations. Give it a shot.
