Without the blues there would be no rock music. That’s a huge deal, to lay claim to such a parentage. But listen to rock for any period of time and the standard building blocks of the blues are at its foundation. But this isn’t a case of stage daddy living vicariously through his son; this daddy is still going strong. Now, usually you don’t want to find your pappy always in a bar but Ziggies is his home in Denver and after forty-four years there he ain’t calling it quits. Ziggies doesn’t just lean back on the blues to fill its walls, oh no, with Newcastle, Stella and good ole’ Pabst on tap to fill 60oz pitchers (oh yeah) and tons more microbrews and domestics, cocktails and top-shelf liquors, this bar really runs the gamut.
