The Night Shift Saloon is named for its early morning Happy Hour starting at 7 a.m., because that's when the folks from the hospital, the police station and other night shift jobs get off work and need to unwind. The bartender has been there since 1983 (which is longer than some of you have been alive) and knows everyone who comes in the door by name. We couldn't get her to compare herself to Woody or Ted Danson on Cheers, but we're pretty sure that's what it's like. They serve a full menu including burgers, homemade green chile and biscuits and gravy. Any time of day you get off work, we're pretty sure a place like the Night Shift will be a welcome place to complain about the work day, grub up and drink up.

The food is excellent, especially the Mexican. Try the Night Shift burrito if you like it hot.
